We recently received one of the most amazing enquiries and it was a request to make one 15year old’s Birthday totally awesome!
After a consultation with the young lady we established that she enjoys travelling and spending time with her closest friends. We designed for her an unforgettable experience with 8 of her besties. The setting was a Safari weekend topped off with an elegant dinner for the teen ladies. ´Butterfly Princess’ was a fitting theme for wonderful Gaby.
Papermoon, our trusted stationery partners’ interpretation of our brief was outstanding. We went for boxed invitations with mirror-finish engraved detail on moss, with 3D butterfly details. Nothing screams LUXURY & ELEGANCE as much as anything that comes boxed lol…
The rest of the stationery; personalized messages from Gaby to each of her friends, the laser cut program, menu card with velum butterfly detail, to the individual ‘Thank You’ cards with blush satin tassel, was executed to perfection.
On the table scape design we laid out a quaint table of 8 on an illuminated floor. For linen we went with a lovely blush textured table cloth with stone embroidered napkins as favours, paired with David Jones crockery, accompanied by gold toned flatware and crystal glassware with a gold trim. These unique table pieces helped set an elegant tone for a lovely dinner.
Florals, florals, florals for everyone… our Chief Florist Lungie personally selected all florals for this dinner. She went for blush tones in elegant textures of O’Hara roses, Hydrangeas from Colombia, Kenyan uhuru cluster roses and some lisiunthus.
The towering arrangements made a statement amongst a stunning setting of varying smaller arrangements set in gold ornate vases. But of course Darling it was a candlelit dinner for the babes, apricot candles made a steady appearance on gold candle stands from tapered dinner candles, pillar candles as well as some fabulous round candles. The gorgeous white belle was our chair of choice, a seat of royalty for Gaby’s guests. All this splendour was set underneath the sparkle of our dazzling crystal chandeliers.
The menu carefully crafted for Gaby’s 15th Birthday by Chef Shane from Matetsi River Lodge was expertly prepared and a pure feast. If like me you eat with your eyes first… well then he won me over with an exceptionally well plated dinner. Our friends at The Blush Cake Studio came through with a bespoke cake covered in lavender butterflies topped with a golden G.
Gaby & her guests were entertained throughout the evening by one of Gaby’s fav artists, Freeman.
Would we do this again for our lovely Gaby… anytime!
